Join us online for the launch of the UPP Foundation Student Futures Commission on the 25th May at 5.30pm.
The Chair of the Commission, Mary Curnock Cook CBE will host the event to formally launch the Student Futures Commission, a new, Inquiry to explore how, in light of the disruption everyone has faced during the pandemic, universities can take action to support students from September 2021 to make the best of their remaining time at university and support those who are starting their journey in higher education this year.
During the event:
- A welcome from Mary Curnock Cook CBE and Chair of the Commission, as well as remarks from Richard Brabner, Director of UPP Foundation.
- We will announce the group of experts from higher education that will take on Commissioner roles.
- We will share new insight from a poll of current students into how they think the pandemic has impacted their studies, wellbeing and employability prospects, as well as what they would like universities to do to support students to have successful futures.
- The event will conclude with a call to action for the sector asking for engagement in both our written call to evidence and oral evidence sessions over the summer.
