£100,000 awarded in grant funding for five pilot projects

Sheffield Hallam University wins bid to host UPP Foundation’s Civic University Network

  • Network’s first priority will be to encourage and coordinate universities to support local communities dealing with the social and economic challenges presented by the Coronavirus.
  • Separately, the Network will support universities which have committed to developing a Civic University Agreement by developing and promoting best practice.
  • Arts Council England will be providing a further £20,000 to the UPP Foundation to help establish the Network.

The UPP Foundation is a registered charity that offers grants to universities, charities and other higher education bodies.

The UPP Foundation was created in 2016 by University Partnerships Programme (UPP), the UK’s leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure.

UPP is the sole funder of the UPP Foundation, which is an independent charity and has its grants reviewed and authorised by a Board of Trustees.
